Relaxation in Age Limit of Junior Research Fellowship (JRF) for June, 2021 UGC NET cycle

In this post, we are discussing Relaxation in Age Limit of Junior Research Fellowship (JRF) for June 2021 UGC NET cycle. NTA provides this relaxation only for the June 2021 Session due to the COVID19 Situation.




In continuation to the Public Notice dated 10th August 2021 for submission of online application form of June 2021 UGC-NET for ‘Assistant Professor’ and ‘Junior Research Fellowship and Assistant Professor’, it is hereby informed that the following age limit for JRF will be applicable for this current examination only i.e. June 2021 UGC-NET cycle: 1. JRF: Not more than 31 years as on 01.10.2021 (October 1, 2021). (This age limit is applicable for the current examination only). A relaxation of up to 5 years is provided to the candidates belonging to OBC-NCL (as per the Central list of OBC available on the website: www.ncbc.nic.in)/SC/ST/PwD/Third gender categories and to women applicants. Relaxation will also be provided to the candidates with research experience, limited to the period spent on research in the relevant/related subject of post-graduation degree, subject to a maximum of 5 years, on the production of a certificate from the appropriate authority, which should be a recognized Indian university / Institute of National Importance / foreign university which is duly approved/recognized/accredited in its own Country / Public Sector Undertaking of Government of India / State Government in India. The research should not have been carried out towards the completion of graduation or post-graduation degree(s). Three years of relaxation in age will be permissible to the candidates with L.L.M. degree. A relaxation of up to 5 years is provided to the candidates who have served in the armed forces subject to the length of service in the armed forces up to the first day of the month in which the concerned UGC-NET is concluded. Total age relaxation on the above ground(s) shall not exceed five years under any circumstances. 2. Assistant Professor: There is no upper age limit in applying for UGC-NET for Assistant Professor. Last date for successful transaction of the Examination fee 06 September 2021 (up to 11:50 pm)
Correction in the Particulars of Application Form online only 7 September to 12 September 2021
